Sports therapy / rehabilitation
Accidental injuries occur from time to time such as during sport (golf and tennis in particular), exercise or during normal daily activities. Other problems occur more gradually and niggling injuries such as back, shoulders and knees begin interfering with our sport or even our day to day activities.
Therapists consider the whole body when conducting functional assessment, targetting the cause of the problem rather than simply treating the symptoms. Activity levels and specific goals are taken into account to decide upon the best course of treatment and rehabilitation for a client's problem.
Treatment consists of primarily 'hands on' soft tissue releasing techniques to improve muscle function.
